Wedding trends for 2024 and beyond

On this episode we chat to Amy and Mel about a number of hot wedding trends they predict, from micro weddings to the anti-DIY movement, as well as other fun things we’re loving seeing at weddings, including:

• “B.C.E” (Big Couple Energy) for maximum good vibes.
• The rise of digital gift registries like Gravy. Guests can make contributions towards meaningful things like house deposits or IVF treatments. They can also make non-monetary pledges (eg. pet-sitting while the couple are on their honeymoon).
• Wedding formalities and traditions becoming more a reflection of real life. Some examples are uneven wedding, mixed-gender wedding parties, or both parents walking the bride/groom/couple down the aisle. Or no aisle walk at all, just the couple both greeting guests on arrival!
• The “done-for-you” trend – a backlash against the DIY movement!
