Real wedding: Bridg and Gab at Glasshaus Brücke
Categories Real weddings.07 Oct, 2026
When you have been together for over a decade, your wedding is less about introducing yourselves as a couple and all about throwing the ultimate celebration for the people who backed you from day one. For Bridg and Gab, that meant bringing 84 of their absolute favourite humans together for lush botanical surrounds, incredible food, and a dance floor that stayed packed from the second it opened.
Both the wedding ceremony and reception took place at the lush green Glasshaus Brücke in Richmond.
The couple locked in our Triple Threat package, trusting DJ Aleks to take care of celebrant duties, MC the evening, and DJ the night to ensure the soundtrack never missed a beat.
The setting and the vibe
Surrounded by Glasshaus’s signature floor-to-ceiling living foliage, Bridg and Gab curated a rich, moody aesthetic featuring tones of maroon, olive green, and deep forest hues.
The guest list of 84 hit the sweet spot: roughly 60% friends in their 20s and 30s alongside adoring family and parents who were ready to celebrate from the jump. A sit-down dinner format gave everyone time to connect over delicious food before setting the scene for an electric, all-in dance party later in the evening.
The ceremony: a five-year friend zone and heartfelt vows
Aleks looked after tunes for the entire day and the afternoon began with acoustic and indie folk melodies as guests took their seats. Bridg made her entrance escorted down the aisle by both of her parents, to the delicate acoustic tones of “For All You Give” by The Paper Kites featuring Lucy Rose.
To make sure everyone soaked in the moment, Aleks ran an unplugged ceremony with a signature twist: the “Fast Photo Minute”. Set to Sneaky Sound System’s “Pictures”, guests were given exactly sixty seconds to whip out their phones, capture their best candid snaps, and tuck them away for the rest of the service.
As their celebrant, Aleks shared the couple’s hilarious and heartfelt story. After exchanging rings and reading moving personal vows (there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!), the newlyweds were cheered back up the aisle to “Dreams” by The Cranberries.
Cocktails and dinner: indie grooves and live sax
During canapés and dinner upstairs, Aleks played artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Olivia Dean, and Tame Impala.
When it was time for entrance into the reception space, Bridg and Gab turned the room’s energy up instantly to the sun-drenched beat of “Jubel” by Klingande. To add even more energy, Bridg’s brother Will played the saxophone over the track.
Key moments and reception highlights
Following speeches, the room prepared for the transition from dinner to dance floor. The venue staff circled the room with chilled shots for a limoncello toast. Following this, Aleks opened the dance floor with a high-energy edit of Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”.
The dance floor: euphoric throwbacks and fun sing-alongs
Once the floor opened, it stayed completely full with incredible energy all night. Aleks focused on playing floor-filling disco anthems, throwback pop, and hands-in-the-air crowd favourites.
After roaming cake and a late-night snack refuel, the entire room encircled Bridg and Gab for the two final songs. They chose “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen and Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” to end the night on a high.
