  Ceremonies here are absolutely spectacular, set right on the grass with the stunning backdrop of the historic heritage mansion. Once you’re hitched, guests naturally flow over to the terrace area overlooking the pool for the cocktail hour. It’s an awesome spot to have an acoustic artist play live to set a relaxed, upscale afternoon vibe before your reception begins.

• Unrivaled seating chart and layout flexibility

  The Grand Ballroom is really flexible when it comes to designing your floorplan and seating charts. We have positioned our DJ booth in multiple different locations here in the past. The room features a dedicated stage where the DJ can set up, but we can also set up down in the main dining area or further up the stairs. Setting up on the stage or stairs is a great advantage for larger guest lists, as it opens up maximum floor space for tables.

• Clear sound guidelines for indoor vs outdoor

  Rippon Lea offers the unique possibility of setting up the DJ booth either inside the ballroom or outside on the terrace. If you choose an outdoor dancing setup, the DJ must plug directly into the venue’s house sound system and cannot use external speakers, keeping things strictly compliant with local outdoor sound restrictions. For indoor receptions, we can bring in our own premium speakers to drive the dancing (though indoor sound limits still apply).

  As we’ve played weddings all across the property, we are completely familiar with the access points, heritage guidelines, and load in pathways across the entire estate. Our DJs and live musicians handle the full arrival, load-in/set up, and sound checks independently, coordinating directly with Showtime Event Group so that everything is ready to go as your guests arrive.
