Hidden away down an industrial lane in Brunswick East, The Wool Mill is a dream venue for couples who want a chic, modern, and completely blank-canvas warehouse wedding. As a local neighbourhood favourite, we know this stunning multi-level space back-to-front and have a fantastic working relationship with the venue team under Managing Director Ajinkya Pawar and the Praj Event crew across the many incredible weddings we’ve been part of.
To bring this industrial space to life, we have built a trusted collective of talented, warm, and friendly DJs and live musicians who love playing weddings. We know how to set the right vibe early on, building up to an absolute banger of a dance floor in the main room.

A weatherproof, multi-level layout
One of the best things about The Wool Mill is that the entire experience is completely inside, safely tucked away from Melbourne’s notoriously unpredictable weather. The space is beautifully split across levels, creating a natural journey where guests arrive upstairs for pre-ceremony drinks, move across to the beautiful ceremony area, and then pop out to the cocktail lounge for drinks and grazing.

The perfect dance floor setup
When it’s time to party, the reception kicks off downstairs in the main room. Depending on your table layout, our DJ booth is positioned either at the end of the space or right in the middle of the room, which is our absolute favourite structure for keeping the music central. The bar is tucked away nicely with a cool speakeasy vibe, making it the perfect pocket of the room to pop your photo booth or vintage audio guest book.

The space gives us an awesome opportunity to use uplighting to splash vibrant colours across the room, perfectly matching your styling palette and transforming the industrial warehouse into a high-energy party space once the dancing kicks off.

Aleks completely understood the brief: gay divas party vibes from start to finish! Her expertise in reading the room, choosing the right songs, and keeping the dancefloor full all night was honestly incredible. We had guests telling us afterwards how much fun they had dancing, and that’s a huge credit to her.
We also loved the extra services she offered. The dancefloor lighting completely transformed the space and created the perfect party atmosphere, and the audio guest book has become one of our favourite keepsakes from the night. Being able to hear heartfelt (and hilarious!) messages from our family and friends is something we’ll treasure forever.

From our very first meeting, Aleks totally got our vibe. In the lead-up to the big day, her communication and support were excellent, and we felt like we were in very safe hands the entire time.
On the night itself, we genuinely had the absolute best time and everyone (and we mean literally EVERYONE) was raving to us for weeks after about how amazing the tunes were. From the moment the dance floor opened, it was packed, and it stayed that way all night. Our siblings slipped downstairs for a bit and told us they could see the ceiling vibrating from the dance floor absolutely popping off. It got to the end of the night and we even had to arrange an impromptu wedding exit just to get people off the dance floor...we reckon everyone could have kept going for hours more! The vibes were unreal and we had an absolute blast 💥

We got so much positive feedback from our friends and family, with lots of people asking if we had made the playlist ourselves because it felt so perfectly “us.” On the day, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Eddy took care of everything and coordinated with our venue seamlessly, which made the whole night completely stress-free. He was an absolute highlight and helped make the party one of the best parts of the day.
