What happens when you book us as Celebrant, DJ and MC?

If you’ve booked us as your Triple Threat Celebrant, DJ, and MC, congratulations! We’re so excited to be a big part of your wedding. Even if you are still making your decision, you might be wondering how one person seamlessly handles all three roles…

We’ve built a process to make the entire journey stress-free and easy, letting you relax and actually enjoy the planning.

Here is a look at our seamless timeline and how it all works:

Planning your day

Your online planning HQ: The “party brief “questionnaire

  • Immediately after booking, we send you a link to your Party Brief Questionnaire!
  • This comprehensive online form is your planning HQ where you’ll add all the details of your wedding in one place.
  • This includes things you want to include in your ceremony and all of your music preferences. You can jump in and out of it as much as you like in the lead-up.

Diving deep into the ceremony vibe (approx. 4 months out)

  • About four months before the wedding, we’ll sit down together (usually over a drink!) to truly dive into planning your ceremony’s vibe and structure.
  • This is also when we’ll fill out the one main legal form that needs to be completed before your wedding day.

How we write your story

  • After that meeting, we’ll send you both your Secret Couple Questionnaires (separately to each of you).
  • This is where we get all the juicy details about your story, which we’ll use to write a ceremony script that is fully personalised and feels 100% you.
  • We’ll also send you some helpful vow writing tips (if you choose to do personalised vows in the ceremony).

Final run-through (a few days before)

  • A few days before the big day, we’ll have a final video call.
  • We’ll run through every single detail one last time: the full run sheet, key songs, and timings. This ensures you can go into your wedding day feeling totally confident and excited!

On your big day – let’s get you hitched!

Seamless set up (2 hours before guests arrive)

  • We arrive about two hours before guests do to get everything set up.
  • The main DJ decks, speakers, and the mic for the reception are all put in place nice and early.
  • We then set up a separate battery-powered speaker and a set of DJ decks for your ceremony.

Pre and post ceremony (and getting you hitched!)

  • We’ll have a curated playlist going to set the perfect vibe as your guests arrive.
  • Then, it’s time to get you married!
  • After the ceremony, while you’re getting congratulations, we’re playing tunes for your cocktail hour.
  • We’ll quickly grab you and your witnesses to sign the official paperwork—and we might even join you for a cheeky celebratory drink!

The night’s MC and DJ

  • As your MC, we keep the whole night flowing. We coordinate with the venue and your photo and video team to make sure no moment is missed, and make all the key announcements.
  • As your DJ, we rock the dance floor! We’re all over the run sheet, we’re always playing the right tunes, and we’re there to make sure you can just relax and have the best day.

After the big day – making it official

Post-wedding legal paperwork

  • In the week after your wedding, we finish off all the legal paperwork.
  • We ensure that your marriage is submitted for registration so it’s legit!
