What’s your musical “vibe” for pre-ceremony?

Categories Ceremony tips. Music tips.

It’s important to get the right musical vibe as guests arrive at your venue for pre-ceremony. You’ll want to set the scene and spin tunes that are “you”! But it may not be an easy task coming up with the types of tunes and overall vibe for this part of your day.

We’ve created some helpful playlists organised by musical “vibe” for pre-ceremony. We came up with these by reflecting on the types of couples that we attract and the music that they’ve chosen for their ceremony. This resulted in a handful of playlists that represent the very best of the songs that make our ceremonies fun, relaxed and memorable.

You’ll need to think about music for each part of your ceremony including:

  1. Pre-ceremony vibes as guests arrive;
  2. Key moment songs (aisle, signing and ceremony finish – we will guide you through these if you need); and
  3. Post-ceremony vibes for after the ceremony, leading into cocktail hour (these are usually more upbeat and celebratory but you can keep the types of genres similar to those you want played during pre-ceremony)!

Your music tastes may fall into more than one type of genre but the main thing about the vibe playlists we’ve put together is that they transcend genres, decades and artists. They’re grouped according to the overall “vibe” that you’d like for your pre and post ceremony.

We’ve uploaded playlist samples of each of these to our Spotify, which you can listen to below! You can also read more about what our ceremony set ups look like.
