Why you should add sax to your DJ 🎷
Categories Music tips.22 Oct, 2026
The most popular live musician to add to a wedding DJ is sax. We list four reasons why the sax will take your wedding dance floor to the next level.
1. The music sounds better with sax
We play the sax during songs that have epic sax solos in it, elevating already popular bangers to another level. Think fun upbeat tunes like This Girl by Kungs vs Cookin’ on 3. Burners and classics like Careless Whisper by George Michael.
2. It adds an extra dimension to the d-floor
Having a great DJ makes for a great dance floor. Busting out the sax makes for an extra energetic dance floor!
We use wireless microphones, which means we’re mobile, and can get amongst the action with your guests.
3. It can be a fun surprise for your guests
If you can keep the sax a secret, it is the most fun surprise for your guests. They’re down a few drinks, ready to dance, and boom – we join them on the dance floor with the beautiful saxophone, belting out that sweet sound we all love.
4. It’s the perfect compromise between a DJ and band
We know a lot of clients love the idea of live music, but want a DJ to play their favourite tunes in their original form. Adding a live instrument like the sax to your DJ strikes the perfect balance. (Read more in our blog and video on why you should choose a DJ over a band).
